Introduction
This meter is used in various industries that require a flow rate of water and oil. These meters are cost-effective that provides an indication of flow without the use of additional electronics. glycol mixtures, water-in-oil, glycerin, and other various coolants are examples of fluids. Different types of material are used to make the meter. Various end fittings can be used. Expansion options are available to allow integration into remote systems via electronic output. They are available in seven port sizes from 1/4 to 3 inches for flow ranges from 0.02 to 0.20 GPM (0.1 to 0.75 lpm) through 20 to 300 GPM (100 to 1100 lpm), the meters are calibrated at 0.876 specific gravity for oil or other petroleum-based fluids, 1.0 for water or other water-based fluids, or 1.18 for phosphate ester liquids. The flow meter is also equipped with a 360° rotatable guard/scale which allows the meter to be installed in any orientation without regard to scale direction. The unique-loaded design of this variable area flowmeter decreases viscosity sensitivity and allows it to be installed in any position, including inverted. The guard/scale can be rotated 360° to optimize readability once the meter is permanently installed. The standard flow meter is a unidirectional device. The flow is measured in the forward direction only.
