Damocles 1208 is a device which has 12 remote inputs and 8 outputs over Ethernet with a web interface
Damocles 1208 is a device which consists of 12 remote inputs and 8 outputs over Ethernet with web interface. It has M2M communication for connection to SNMP and SCADA systems. It sends email and SNMP as a alert or notifications of input state changes. Box-2-Box mode outputs can be controlled by the LAN by another device.
Damocles sends an email when an input dry contact state is changed. It sends an email with customizable text and or a SNMP Trap.
Some of the M2M protocols are SNMP, Modbus/TCP, XML(over HTTP).

It turns on a warning light or a horn upon alarm at another unit (over the network, Box-2-Box mode)
UPS and back-up generator monitoring
It check fuel level, diesel generator status, and remote start over IP
Security systems
IP surveillance systems (external sensors)

SCADA: It is connected to the external inputs to multiple independent systems
It use an electricity meter with pulse output for example 100 pulses/kWh per IEC 62053-1 (S0) standard
