Introduction
The Model PFB Fire Pump System is a primary flow sensor that generates a pressure differential between its upstream (stagnation) ports and its downstream (static) ports which is proportional to the flow rate squared. The flow meter is a highly reliable averaging pitot tube that is FM approved. It features a round pitot tube. It has an accuracy of ±3% and is capable of bi-directional flow measurement. The gauge is a Direct-Readout meter with a dial featuring a 270° arc for a fast and accurate reading. A good engineered, dust-tight case provides trouble-free operation. Preso gauges are protected against overload by a unique diaphragm housing design. When the pressure difference exceeds the range, the gauge will accept the accidental application of up to 60 PSIG without damage. The differential pressure should not exceed the range of the gauge under normal conditions.
